CURRENT PERFORMANCE WORKSHOPS:
OVERALL CONCEPT:
Clifton Performance Theatre offers unique workshops for children ages 5-16. In four weeks, students learn, rehearse and perform a full length children musical. This hands-on learning of all aspects of musical theatre* will give each student an opportunity to sing/dance/act as well as participate in costume and set design. This workshop is designed to meet each child where he or she in their craft whether new or seasoned to performance arts.
*not all parts require singing/dancing: students who are only interested in acting will have ’straight’ acting parts and at the same time they will be encouraged to explore other areas of expression.
PERFORMING OPPORTUNITIES:
Once the children complete a performance workshop, they may be invited to perform as a part of Clifton Performance Theatre’s Clidren’s Repertory. As cast members they have the opportunity to perform on regular basis in our Sunday 2 pm shows. They may also entitled to a class discounts offered at the CPT. TUITION: $150 per student. Family and multiple workshops discounts may apply. There is one scholarship offered per workshop. Please apply on-line (click here – coming soon)
