Facilitated by Kevin Lewis (Percussionist, University of Cincinnati) and Beth Lewis (Music Educator)
Drop-in fee $10 per family or $50 per session.
Parents and their children, friends and neighbors join in this ancient form of music making. No experience neccessary. Bring your own hand drum or call us to secure one.
What is a drum circle?
A drum circle, most simply put, is a group of people gathered into a circle for the purpose of making music with percussion instruments.
Do I need to have previous experience?
No. If you can walk and if your heart beats, you have enough natural rhythm in you to participate in this ancient form of making music together.
What should I expect?
45 minutes to fly by as you find yourself smiling watching your child discover the joys of making the many sounds that make one song. Discovering that child within yourself as you hit the drum, follow the rhythm and feel the stress of the past week melt away
Don’t hesitate. It’s free to try!
Come in on Saturday at 10 am and participate in the class free of charge (once per family, please). Once you decide how great it is for you and your kids, you will want to help us to keep this class going.
