Alice in Wonderland Camp

What an amazing experience this was – the children of both camps worked hard and delivered impressive performances. Here is what two of our parents wrote:

“My son just participated in the Clifton Performance Theatre’s production of Alice in Wonderland.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much he enjoyed himself and what an
absolutely WONDERFUL learning experience it was for him… Both my husband and I thought the whole production was done in such a professional way (from the head shots to the programs) to give the kids a true feeling of what its like to
be in a real theatre performance.  [He] is hooked on the experience and wants to do it again and again – its the first time he has tried this and I am grateful that it was with such great teachers.”

“[My daughter] tremendously enjoyed last week’s camp.  She’s still playing the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ CD and singing and dancing with it.  She enlists her younger brother to act out the parts with her.  Thanks to you and Carol and all the other people involved for making it a great experience.”

About The Show: NEED A BREAK is an original musical play that is being developed by Cameron Productions, a Cincinnati based production and touring company that produces 80-100 music and theatre events every year.

NEED A BREAK features four women, who in their college years make a pact that they will never stop having fun.  They will always stay the same fun loving girlfriends who like to dance, drink sensibly, and talk to lots of cute guys.  They will always stay on top of trends and wear sexy lingerie EVEN after they get married… Then they do.

CLIFTON PERFORMANCE THEATRE (and Clifton Players) is a new emerging theatre founded in November of 2008.  Located at Clifton Cultural Arts Center, CPT focused on providing expert, fun and inspiring theatre classes for children in their first season. Tremendous success of their Summer Camp in which the campers rehearsed and performed “Alice in Wonderland” – the musical version, launched CPT’s presence in community and wider Cincinnati area.
Our 2009- 2010 season include three performance-building sessions for children ages 5-12 (shows TBA); on-going drama, vocal and dance classes for children and adults; a winter theatre production of a classic play (show TBA) and development of new original works.
