Following the Clifton Players’ inaugural production of Tracy Letts’ ‘Superior Donuts,’ and their resulting win of three League of Cincinnati Theatre Awards, The Clifton Players present ‘disgruntled employees,’ written by ensemble member Kevin Crowley. The play was first presented at the National Playwrights Conference under the artistic directorship of Lloyd Richards, where it received the Charles MacArthur Fellowship Award for comedy.
‘disgruntled employees’ is a comedy set in a single branch of the United States Postal Service along Tornado Alley in Oklahoma. These characters are the sorters and handlers of each letter, parcel, and package en route to its destination. It is an endless task. It takes guts, determination and SELF DELUSION. The moments leave you wondering who could go “postal” first.
